Story Line: This is an woman production is located in the province of France in the early 1930s, two young sisters country enter domestic service in the bourgeois household of a poor widow and her daughter home. Neither couple talking to the other two sets of women separated and trapped by social convention, personality, and the house itself. The relationship between the sisters develops slowly in obsession, left over from childhood brought by isolation and feelings. Trapped in a garret, sisters violent bottom-up conflict with Madame Danzard and lumpy Isabelle seems assured.
