Story Line: A wonderful animation and jovial writing create a polished and lovable film for children and most adults. The timing of jokes are fantastic and you never could guess what would happen next. The narrative wasn’t the strongest in Zootopia; however, it outshines every other animated, child-friendly film since Inside Out. The metaphors were extremely heavy handed and the delivery of most of these “hidden meanings” happened to take away from the overall message of the film for me. I expect these metaphors to fly directly into the hearts of kids, who at times like these could certainly use some self-confidence and anti-racism in their media. Loved it and will be watching it again. Charming, adorable, and yet another state-of-the-art advance in animation (character eyeballs were positively shimmering; movement was more bent towards reality than anything I’ve ever seen; nose crinkles and fur and much more). Bravo also for being a shiftily plotted, momentum-forward, intriguing whodunit. Zootopia is an amazing animation, with a really well thought the world, fun characters and a really interesting premise that discuss themes that resonate with real-world problems. Can´t recommend this enough. Its comedic moments are a little hit-or-miss, but the overall idea behind this film is great. Parents, if you wanna take your kids to a movie that’s both lots of fun and teaches you about being tolerant .
